letter from the author

                  is one month old. I feel as though I've earned the passel of new friends in my inbox + in the comments. I'm grateful for all of it + all of you.

While there's a whole lifetime's worth of stories left to tell, it's also a good place to stop + feel the parts of myself + my work that have stretched + changed with this month of growth. I'm going to step away from this project to undergo what I hope to be a legitimate life-changing procedure, but I want to thank you sincerely for allowing me to share these little pieces with you.

This year has been incredibly difficult, + I'm changed by it. I hope you'll go forward into the world to live + record your own stories, + that you find fearlessness, adventure, + humor in every day.
